Tulo expected to win Fiji’s first medal in weightlifting

Fiji Weightlifter Manueli Tulo is expected to win Fiji’s first medal when he competes in the 56kg category at the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu this afternoon.

Tulo finished in a career best 8th position at the IWF World Weightlifting Championships, in Anaheim, USA last week week.

Meanwhile, Fiji’s Poama Qaqa will compete in the men’s 62kg.

In the women’s competition, Seruwaia Malani will compete in the 48kg. Arieta will compete in the 53kg and Maria Mareta, Sofia Kinikinilau will compete in the 58kg while Maria Liku competes in the 63kg.

Weightlifting Fiji has 12 athletes competing in Vanuatu.
