The Lautoka Football side is aware of the challenges they will face against the Wellington team despite the absence of key players in their line-up.

Fiji’s local football team champion Lautoka, will take on one of New Zealand’s top club team this weekend in a friendly match as a build up to the OFC-League next year.

Team defender Jone Vesikula says, it will be a good opportunity for young players to stamp their mark and impress selectors.

“This is a good opportunity for our boys to step up with the absence of our experienced players who are in Vanuatu for the Mini Games but this didn’t stop us from preparing for Wellington.”

Their first game kicks off at 7.30pm tomorrow at Lautoka’s Churchill Park and they will then play again at 3pm on Sunday at the same venue.
