Olympian and Fijian Sally Yee showed impressive performance in her individual event during the table tennis competition in the 2017 Pacific Mini Games in Vanuatu.

She defeated New Caledonia 3-1 and leads group B with six points while her sister Grace Yee leads group A with six points after a 3-0 win over Solomon Islands and 3-1 victory over Vanuatu.

Fiji Table Tennis Association president Anthony Ho says he was pleased with the performance of the players.

We played well in the team’s competition as it is not easy. Host Vanuatu got a very good team from the past and they have number one players in men and women’s competitions in the Pacific.

Meanwhile, Mere Rodan qualified for the final in the women’s para table tennis after her opponent from Solomon Islands did not turn up for the match.
You can watch the mini games live on FBC TV.
