Fiji women’s badminton starts preparation

The Fiji women’s Badminton side will not waste any time as they start gearing up for the Commonwealth Games in April.
The Brend Munday-coached side won the bronze medal in the Oceania Championship and the Harbor International tournament in New Zealand over the weekend.
National Badminton Secretary Andra Whiteside says competing against top teams has boosted the performance of players.
“The level of competition is very high particularly the Australian team and the NZ team but the Tahitians are also very strong to particularly with the boys it’s a good experience for us to be able to be exposed to that competition we’re realized very quickly how important it is to be able to adjust to different styles of play”.
The national side will now prepare for the upcoming Commonwealth games in April which is scheduled on the 4th to the 15th of April in Gold Coast, Australia.
