Fiji rugby has lost one of its sons.
29-year-old back, Maleli Kunavore passed away this week following a recovery period from a cardiac operation.
Kunavore recently played rugby for French Top 14 club, Toulouse.
He was first spotted by FRU national coaching director, Frank Boivert who selected him for the Fiji U21s in 2004.
The utility back played for the Coastal Stallions side before former Flying Fijians coach, Wayne Pivac selected him at senior level.
He’s been playing in France since 2005.
