Hurricane Jordie Barrett was thrown into a Super Rugby season debut in last week’s win over the Jaguares, but admits he is looking for a better display against the Crusaders tomorrow.
The 21-year-old jumped on a flight to Buenos Aires last week after Wes Goosen fell injured in the side’s first-up loss to the Bulls in Pretoria.
Barret says he expected more of himself against the reigning champion Crusaders in Wellington.
“I owe New Zealand debut a massive for us games all of us players want to test ourselves against the best so it’s a massive and exciting challenge and hopefully there will be a big crowd so we’re looking forward to it.”
Meanwhile, looking at this weekend’s super rugby matches, Highlanders will take on Stormers at 6.35pm today while Rebels will battle the Brumbies at 8.45pm.
Tomorrow, Hurricanes plays the Crusaders at 6.35pm. Reds will then meet Bulls at 8.54pm.
On Sunday, Sharks meet Sunwolves at 1.05pm, Lions take on Blues at 3.15am while Jaguares will play against Waratahs at 9.40am.
