Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber believes, his side has learnt a lot from their two losses in the Las Vegas tournament last weekend.

The Fiji 7s side went down to Kenya 17-14 and lost to USA in the cup quarterfinal by 24-7 on Monday.

Baber says they need to be more physical against their opponents and do the tactics right on the field.

“Obviously I think both the USA and Kenya game were two of the most physical teams in that competition and ultimately it’s a war when you get into the contact break down areas but always having the mentality of win every battle you’re involved into.”

Baber names his 13 member squad tomorrow.

Fiji begins its campaign against Spain on Sunday at 6.36am, then faces France at 10.08am and plays Kenya in its final pool match at 1.40pm.

The Cup quarterfinal starts at 7.08am on Monday, semifinal begins at 11.08am and the final is schedule for 2.19pm.

You can watch the tournament live on FBC TV and catch the live commentaries of Fiji’s games on Radio Fiji One.
