Nacuqu and Batinisavu named in the Fiji 7s side

Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Gareth Baber has included Waisea Nacuqu and Uluiyata Batinisavu in his 13-men squad for the Vancouver tournament this weekend.

According to World Rugby, the list sees the return of Nacuqu who was the 13th player in the Las Vegas 7s last weekend while Batinisavu is expected to make his debut in Canada.

Missing the cut is veteran forward Jasa Veremalua who has been ruled out of a knee injury he suffered against South Africa on Monday.

Fiji finished third last year in Vancouver, beating USA 28-24.

Fiji begins its campaign against Spain on Sunday at 6.36am, then faces France at 10.08am and plays Kenya in its final pool match at 1.40pm.

The Cup quarterfinal starts at 7.08am on Monday, semifinal begins at 11.08am and the final is schedule for 2.19pm.

Waisea Nacuqu, Amenoni Nasilasila, Vatemo Ravouvou, Jerry Tuwai, Kalione Nasoko, Mesulame Kunavula, Paula Dranisinukula, Josua Vakurunbili, Uluiyata Batinisavu, Eroni Sau, Alosio Naduva, Sevuloni Mocenacagi and Vasikali Mudu.
