Fiji National Rugby League Chief Executive Timoci Naleba says he and Chairperson Filimoni Vosarogo will not step down from their positions any time soon.

This after, Perth Now reported, Vodafone Fiji Bati captain Kevin Naiqama is leading the push from the playing group to have Naleba and Vosarogo punted from their roles and replaced by new management.

Naleba says they won’t step down because they have not done anything wrong.

“We are not at all thinking of stepping down from the roles that we hold. But one thing needs to be clarified is that the board cannot just step down. There is an AGM but it is also guided by the articles of association and because of that there need to be compliance in all areas before any decision can be made.”
Naleba adds the payment will be made to the players by the end of this month.
Meanwhile, Naiqama revealed earlier that the players are still owed around $4965.00 each for reaching the World Cup semi-final last year.
