The Valelevu sports stadium will undergo its construction once the Nasinu town Council and China make the agreement to progress with the development.
Acting Minister for Local Government, Housing, Environment, Infrastructure and Transport Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says the plans to build a stadium will continue and the government will give its share as promised in the last budget.
“It has been highlighted in the previous budget the need to build a sports complex in Valelevu and it will continue, we are just waiting on the agreement between the Nasinu town council and China to tell us what they will do and we will provide the $850,000 allocated for the development.”
The government has put aside $850,000 to help the two parties develop the sports facility.
