The Fiji Airways men’s 7s team arrived in the country this morning after winning the Vancouver tournament over the weekend.

Fiji beat Kenya 31-12 in the final in Canada.

Fiji 7s captain Jerry Tuwai says the boys did their best but there are still areas that needs to be sorted before the Hong Kong tournament.

“I know the boys are used to the system and the environment and I believe we have something to look forward to next month.”

Tuwai added the boys will have a few days break before they continue with their preparation towards the three tournaments scheduled for next month.

“There is a lot to improve on so we will go back to camp and review all our mistakes in the previous tournament and gear up for the tournaments ahead.”

The national 7s team moved up the points table to second place with 101 behind South Africa who leads ladder with 109 points.

Meanwhile, Fiji will defend the Hong Kong 7s tournament on the 6th-8th

Fiji is pooled with New Zealand, Samoa and Russia at the Hong Kong 7s.
