The medalists from the Commonwealth Games are likely to receive incentives for their achievements in Gold Coast, Australia.
Fiji National Sports Commission chairperson, Peter Mazey, says they are waiting for FASANOC to meet with them and discuss the incentives.
He says if a request comes in from FASANOC, then they will be able to look into it together with the Government.
FASANOC Chief Executive, Lorraine Mar, says this is was of the best outing from Team Fiji in the recent years.
“We are very pleased with this outing and it’s been a long time since we have come back from a Commonwealth Games with one gold, one silver and one bronze medals. It an outing that I think has made Fiji proud.”
Meanwhile, the medal recipients were Weightlifting Fiji’s Eileen Cikamatana won gold, Apolonia Vaivai who grabbed bronze, Winston Hill of boxing for bronze and the Fiji 7s team who received the silver medal at the games.
