Vodafone Fiji Bati coach, Mathew Adamson has named a strong side for their test match against Papua New Guinea later this month.
Cronulla Sharks forwards, Jason Bukuya will make a comeback for the side after he was injured last year.
Few top players who were part of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup have also been retained and are set to play for Fiji.
However, players like Viliame Kikau, Waqa Blake and Apisai Koroisau will not be part of the squad due to injury while Dragon’s Tariq Sims is preparing for the second round of the State of Origin.
Coach Adamson says they will need to access the player’s fitness before game day.
“I’m excited to be able to put a squad together and of course with another weekend of football to be played this weekend we have to access the players on Monday and when we come in we also have to check the player’s finesses.”
Meanwhile, the side will march into camp on Monday in Parramatta Australia before their game on Saturday.
The squad includes Kevin Naiqama, Suliasi Vunivalu, Akuila Uate, Tyrone Philips, Marcelo Montoya, Jarryd Hayne, Henry Raiwalui, Kane Evans, Joe Lovodua, Tui Kamikamica, King Vuniyayawa, Junior Salesi Faingaa, Jason Bukuya, Eloni Vunakece, Pio Seci, Sitiveni Moceidreke, Pio Sokobalavu, Mikaele Ravalawa and Junior Roqica.
