The Queensland Country players are expected to lift their performance as they get a chance to play in their home ground after a long time this weekend.

The National Rugby Championship defending champions will face table leaders Fiji Airways Drua on Saturday.

Queensland Country and Reds lock Harry Hockings says he is looking forward to returning to playing in front of family and friends.

“It’s been a long time since I have had the opportunity to play up North and I can’t way to run out at BB Print Stadium in Queensland Country colors this weekend. As a squad we focus on representing the entire Queensland Country community and this weekend we’ll have the chance to do that in Mackay for the first time, which will be special for the team.”

Meanwhile, the Fijian side sits on top of the table with 10 points.

Fiji will leave tomorrow to play Queensland Country at 5pm at BB Print Stadium in Brisbane, Australia on Saturday.
