The USA 7s side will be looking forward to bagging its second ever title in the Cape Town tournament this weekend.

The Mike-Friday-coached side won their first ever title last year, beating Argentina in the Las Vegas 7s 28-nil.

USA 7s Captain Madison Hughes says after finishing as runner up in Dubai last weekend, they hope to give their best shot in Cape Town.

“I mean I think we didn’t play the way we wanted to so it’s a bit of a way the tournament went. So I think we will take out the positive from Dubai and go into this weekend with a lot of confidence and improve upon the few key areas that we want to target.”

USA is pooled with Argentina, Spain and Japan.

Meanwhile, Fiji plays France in its first match at 9.59pm on Saturday, then faces Kenya at 1.20am on Sunday before playing England in its final pool match 5.03am.

The Cup quarter-final begins at 11.04pm on Sunday, semi-final will be held at 3.56am on Monday and the final is secluded for 6.44am.

You can watch the entire tournament live on FBC TV.
