More talented and skilled snooker players are expected in the country as New Zealand’s most successful billiard champion Wayne Carey is here for a four-day program.
The 74-year-old who is the only Kiwi to have won 12 consecutive national tournaments in a single year says he is looking forward to pass on his skills to our local billiard players.
“Actually I was impressed because already we have some good player’s sol it’s my endeavor to try and bring it up a little bit well I will actually and we just want to get it going within Fiji.”
He says he is passionate seeing school children, picking up a cue and trying each of the three disciplines – pool, snooker and billiards.
Carey who secured 124 provincial and national tournament wins is carrying out a four-day program at Merchant Club in Suva which started yesterday and ends on Sunday.
