Delana, Valentine are Fiji's latest Hall of Famers

Fiji Paralympic gold medalist, Iliesa Delana and cricketer, Frederick Lawrence Curling Valentine are the latest inductees into the Fiji Sports Hall of Fame.
The duo received their recognition last night at the awards night at the Novotel Hotel in Lami.
Although not retired from his sport, Delana’s historic gold medal F42 High Jump win in London last year was one of Fiji’s highest sporting achievements.
Fiji cricketer, Valentine was honored for living and breathing in the development of cricket in the country from the late 50s to the ‘70s.
He is also the only Fijian cricket player who can lay fame to having a personal artifact, his right shoe and the ball he used during the Test match against Papua New Guinea on display at the world-famous Middlesex Country Club Museum, ‘Home of the Ashes’.
Administrators also recognised for their efforts in swimming in Fiji was Dr Jagdish Maharaj and Horace Peterson.
